Gasification

Our Wood and Pellet burning Boilers don’t just work by burning wood, gasification takes place. This two stage process extracts carbon monoxide and hydrogen from the fuel (wood or pellets) using a controlled amount of oxygen as an input from the air. The combined mixture is known as Syngas. Firstly this is burned and when Syngas is exhausted the boiler then enters its second phase starts burning the raw material in the upper chamber. Gasification using Syngas is more efficient than direct combustion of the original fuel because it can be combusted at higher temperatures.

This process means that you get the most out of the fuel used resulting in minimal waste. The leftover ash can easily be collected and disposed of or used as fertiliser.
